What is expected of a member ?

A member must be willing to give up some of their spare time to help out at fund raising events . The funds raised at the events go mainly to local causes such as individuals and groups . As the Lions organisation is an international group , some money goes towards international emergencies such as floods , water wells and eye camps .

Members are asked to pay a small membership fee , twice a year , to cover local administration costs so that money raised at events go only to the causes .

Members are not allowed to gain financially from the lions and are not allowed to debate about politics or religion .

There are also monthly meetings that members should attend , if possible and social functions that are optional .

We have both Male and Female members and female membership is encouraged at our club .
